You know his beard has been curled to his chest for centuries. The red suit, well it's the same thing he's worn every year. Men! They never change styles when they find something they like. Well, I propose an update, maybe something in Armani or Calvin Klein. Who knows under the white curls, there might be a Johnny Depp or George Clooney begging to come out. I mean, think about those gorgeous pools of blue for his eyes, the rosy cheeks, I think under that beard is pure charm. He wouldn't have to get rid of all the chin hair, just trim it to line his jaw or possibly a simple goatee, something scholarly. He is a man of the world, right? And the hair, I think a coiffed pile of curls at the top, short at the sides, dyed a soft brunette with just a bit of silver at the temples. Time to turn the jolly, old elf into a distinguished man of ages, get rid of the red velvet and fleece, replace the stocking hat with a fedora, black, with a nice band around it, and turn in the red jacket for a fitted, black overcoat with starched white shirt beneath. We could give him a red damask tie and/or scarf to bring out the Christmas 'feel'.

And I know it's cold in the North Pole, but his wife, is her name Martha? I seem to think, I heard Martha, but whatever her name is, she needs to buy him nice leather gloves for his outfit, the cute, knitted, red mittens might keep him warm, might exude a quaint charm, but we're talking fashion here, we're talking high style. This is a celebrity. Man of the world, no one is more known than Santa Claus, just what does he represent in his pajama style red? Think about it. Wing tips at his feet, wool socks, if they get cold. She could knit nose warmers for the reindeer during the off-season if she’s looking for a venue for her knitting.

So, that’s my final advice for the Christmas Holiday. Whether we can get an aged man to change his style after centuries, I don’t know. But I put it out there, I hope he listens. Santa, if you are listening, take my advice, get a make over, think about a stylist in the future.
